Welcome to Buckshaw Village Surgery

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – Friday 19/05/17

We are still working with limited clinical computers and software.  Staff are still reliant on some paper processes and this has led to longer waiting times than normal.  We have been advised full service is unlikely to resume before 30/05/17, until then there are likely to be delays, we thank you for your understanding and support.

If you need urgent medical attention please contact NHS 111 on 111.  If it is a life threatening emergency call 999.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – Thursday 18/05/17

Despite our best attempts, we still only have 12 out of 31 PCs and our core IT systems working.  Clinical staff are still reliant on some paper processes and this has led to longer waiting times than normal.

We continue to ask patients to help us, to help them by delaying routine matters.  We are able to see urgent matters but please note there may be an extended wait.

If you need urgent medical attention please contact NHS 111 on 111.  If it is a life threatening emergency call 999.

We are continuing to work to restore our full IT systems.  There are on-going problems
and we do not have full IT systems yet.  This, combined with the backlog of work from
the weekend has led to long waiting times at walk in clinics.  We continue to ask
patients to help us, to help them by delaying routine matters.  We are able to see
urgent matters but please note there may be an extended wait.

If you need urgent medical attention please contact NHS 111 on 111.  
If it is a life threatening emergency call 999.

 IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Monday 15/05/17

We have been working throughout the weekend to restore our IT systems.  We aim to
re-open at 8am on Monday 15/05/17.

HOWEVER we expect a large backlog of work and would ask patients to only contact or attend the surgery if absolutely necessary.  Please help us to help you, by delaying routine matters until at least 16/05/17.  Alternatively please be prepared for an extended wait.

If you need urgent medical attention please contact NHS 111 on 111. 
If it is a life threatening emergency call 999.

 

All patients who wish to sign up for ordering repeat prescriptions online, as well as booking appointments online, please ask a member of the reception team, who will be able to assist you to gain access to this service. Please be aware that due to security reasons, only requests from individuals themselves, over sixteen years of age, with a valid photo ID, will be processed.
